Albert K. Oh, MD, is a surgeon specializing in pediatric plastic surgery. His particular areas of interest include management of complex craniofacial problems such as craniosynostosis and hemifacial microsomia, as well as repair of patients with cleft lip and cleft palate. He is the director of the Craniofacial Center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, a multidisciplinary group that involves numerous pediatric specialties including plastic surgery, neurosurgery, general pediatric medicine, dentistry and orthodontia, speech pathology and ENT to address the multifaceted needs of children with craniofacial anomalies.

Oh’s clinical research focuses on craniofacial surgery and vascular anomalies, including long-term facial asymmetry in patients with craniosynostosis, nasal symmetry after cleft lip repair, risk factors for plagiocephaly (flat heads in babies) and vascular malformations of the bone. He is the author of a number of original publications in peer-reviewed journals and has completed research on the results of craniofacial surgery in the Orient.

Oh received his bachelor’s degree in painting and musical performance from Pacific Union College and his doctoral degree from Loma Linda University. His postgraduate training was at the University of California, Davis, where he served as the chief resident of general surgery and plastic surgery. He completed his fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at Harvard Medical School, Children’s Hospital Boston and is a member in the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association.
