What We Offer
 In addition to providing treatment for inpatients at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Women
and Infants’ Hospital and other area hospitals,
we offer the following outpatient services:
- Outpatient evaluations
- Outreach programs in southern Rhode
Island and southeastern Massachusetts
- Electrocardiograms, Holter monitors
and event recordings
- Echocardiography, including:
- Awake and sedated transthoracic
echocardiograms
- Transesophageal echocardiograms
(done at Hasbro Children’s Hospital)
- Fetal echocardiograms
- Stress echocardiograms
(Note: “Echo only” referrals are accepted for
transthoracic and fetal studies.)
- Cardiopulmonary testing, including:
- Pulmonary function testing
- Treadmill stress testing
- Metabolic stress testing
- Airway provocation studies
- Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
(Note: Referrals for pulmonary function testing
and airway provocation studies are accepted.)
- Preventive cardiology programs including programs for hyperlipidemia and hypertension.
- These programs are supported by:
- On-site outpatient laboratory
- Nutritional services
- Cardiopulmonary and noninvasive cardiac testing
- Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
- Collaborative program with adult cardiology
to care for adults with congenital
heart disease
