Pediatric Urology
The division of pediatric urology at Hasbro Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive urological services beginning with prenatal consultations
through to adolescence treatment. A team of fellowship-trained pediatric urologists
provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services.
State-of-the-art care is provided at Hasbro Children’s Hospital for all
pediatric urologic anomalies, including complex reconstructions like bladder
exstrophy and bladder augmentation. Treatment is also offered for anomalies
that are more commonly encountered, such as undescended testes, hydroceles,
vesicoureteral reflux and hypospadias. Minimally invasive surgical procedures,
such as laparoscopy for genitourinary tract anomalies and the endoscopic correction
of vesicoureteral reflux, are offered. In addition, the Pediatric Urology
Continence Center provides a patient and parent friendly atmosphere and
approach for children with both daytime and nighttime incontinence.
