The Fetal Treatment Program is a collaboration among Hasbro Children’s Hospital, the pediatric division of Rhode Island Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital and Brown Medical School. The program specializes in the treatment of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
At each institution, there are a large number of specialists who are experts in the diagnosis of fetal anomalies and the management of the unborn child. In addition, this collaboration allows us to share our experience and expertise and to give families even more options for treatment.
The Fetal Treatment Program is a Founding Member of NAFTNet, the North-American Fetal Treatment Network (www.NAFTNet.org).
If you or your child are long-term patients, find out more information about the "home away from home" provided by the Providence Ronald McDonald House, as well as the Ronald McDonald Family Room, created as an area of respite for families of patients within the hospital.
Fertility Preservation
Jennifer Welch, MD, pediatric oncologist at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Jared Robins, MD, a reproductive endocrinologist and leader of the Program for Fertility Preservation at Women & Infants Hospital are co-principal investigators of a unique program that offers ovarian preservation to children who undergo cancer treatment.
