Courtney Huard, RD, completed her undergraduate degree in nutrition at the University of Rhode Island (URI) in 2002. Upon receiving a BS she worked as a Women, Infants and Children (IWC) nutritionist before starting the dietetic internship through URI. She spent four weeks training at Hasbro Children's Hospital in April 2004.

Since completion of the internship, Huard has been working on a Masters Degree in nutrition at URI. Her thesis research is entitled “Evaluating a Transtheoretical Model-based ‘non-diet’ intervention in college-aged students at the University of Rhode Island.”

Huard joined the nutrition team in 2005. She currently covers both inpatient services and the outpatient GI Clinic. Her interests include childhood obesity, eating disorders and gastrointestinal diseases.
