Marc Schaefer, MD

Schaefer received a BS in biology at the State University of New York-Binghamton and then earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. He completed his pediatric residency training at Maimonides Medical Center, Infants and Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn, New York.
Schaefer is a member of The North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. He has training in genetic research from Rockefeller University-Strang Cancer Research Laboratory and immunology research from Cornell University Medical College.
