Symptoms of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome

Mothers may experience the following symptoms:

premature contractions,
unusually rapidly expanding abdomen,
rapid weight gain,
breathlessness,
tightness in the abdomen and
pressure on the stomach.

TTTS can be detected through an ultrasound scan. Signs include different-sized babies, different-sized bladders and too little fluid in one sac and too much in the other.
