Lifespan Community Health Services and Training Center is coordinating a program to distribute automated external defibrillators to cities, towns and
communities working to earn the Rhode Island HeartSafe Community designation.
If someone in your community suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, how likely is he or she to survive due to rapid access to life-saving treatment? Answers to
questions like this can help organizations and municipalities determine whether or not their community qualifies as a Rhode Island HeartSafe Program.
The Community Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Program has received 50 AED devices and is coordinating at no-cost to distribute them and provide
life-saving education and periodic compliance check-ups to cities and towns working to earn the RI HeartSafe Community designation.
To find out if your city, town or organization is eligible for a grant to receive a complimentary AED and training, please contact Marianne Stepanian, RN,
LCHS Cardiac Project Coordinator at email@example.com.
