Newport Hospital Medical Staff Offers Scholarship

The Newport Hospital Medical Staff is proud to announce a scholarship for Newport County medical students in accredited medical, dental and osteopathic programs.

Guidelines 2008

Criteria for application:

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited medical, dental, or osteopathic school in the United States or Canada
• Applicants must be a resident of Newport County

Amount: Variable (minimum $1,000 – maximum $4,000)

Application Process:

• Submit proof of matriculation, and
• A short essay defining future goals in your professional career

Application Due Date:

• Applications must be received by October 20, 2008

Award:

• Awards will be made payable to the student.
• Scholarship awards may be used for tuition, room, board, books, supplies, travel, and other expenses related to school attendance.
