Newport Hospital welcomes the opportunity to work with reporters on all health care related topics. Media relations staff members are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to quickly respond to inquiries from journalists.
For Journalists
Business HoursOur business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Journalists can call the office at 401-845-1616. After hours, page the media relations staff at 401-350-2124. All journalists with cameras—still and video—must be accompanied by a member of the media relations staff. In order to protect our patients' privacy, we provide patient information in accordance with the American Hospital Association's guidelines contained in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
