A word of introduction
To the families placed in our care:
Because hospital procedures may be unfamiliar to you and your child,
the pediatric staff has prepared these pages
to explain our routines and to answer some of your questions.
It is our hope to make your child's stay at Newport Hospital as
pleasant and comfortable as possible while providing the best medical
care available. The facilities of the pediatric unit and the services
of our specially trained staff are designed to hasten your child's
recovery.
At Newport Hospital, nursing care is a family-oriented service
and you are encouraged to become actively involved in the routine
care of your child under the guidance of the nursing staff.
Each child and family has individual needs. The nurses will continue
to provide the highest quality of care to meet these needs.
Remember, if you have any questions
concerning your child's hospitalization please feel free to ask
