Enough is Enough
This is a six-week weight loss program. During the first phase of the program, participants meet for an hour, five evenings each week. Session topics include nutrition, exercising with cardiac fitness equipment, and yoga. During the second phase, participants attend two meetings each week; one evening is spent with a nutrition counselor and the second is for yoga instruction. For more information, call 401-845-1592.

Yoga
This 1-hour yoga session, which focuses on reducing stress and improving energy and vitality, gives the participant a sense of well being while improving concentration, focus, muscle tone, circulation and respiration. The class fee is $10 per session or $80 for a ten-week session.

QuitSmart
QuitSmart is a 5-session smoking cessation program, facilitated by a psychologist, that encourages the use of the nicotine replacement patch as well as Zyban to help the individual quit smoking. The program includes coping strategies and tips, stress reduction and relaxation techniques, and relapse prevention and maintenance. The program costs $75 per 5-week session. Reiki Training (various levels)
Learn how to give a full body treatment to yourself and others. Reiki training sessions at Newport Hospital are based in the traditional Usui Shiko Ryoho Reiki system with the addition of Shinkoko. Sessions are facilitated by Jeanette Bessinger, interfaith minister and Reiki Shihan (Master Teacher). Fees vary by workshop and include certification for the specific level.
