Circulation Policies
Hospital staff may borrow circulating library materials
for two weeks, with an option to renew for an additional two
weeks. Periodicals and reference materials may not be removed
from the library.
Members of the community are welcome to use the library
for reference purposes only. Please inquire at the reference
desk about special arrangements to accommodate your needs.

With information on a broad variety of topics, the extensive collection
of the Carnegie Abbey Library Resource Center offers the most current
information in the areas of clinical medicine, nursing, health services
administration and consumer health. We offer our users a variety
of formats, including books, journals, pamphlets, videos and electronic
media.
The library's AV/computer lab includes end-user workstations with
online access to the Internet and to health information databases,
including:
- PubMed
- Medline Plus
- Health Reference Center (InfoTrac)
- Ovid
- MDconsult
- Micromedex
In addition, the library maintains an audiovisual collection covering
current topics of interest for both the professional staff and the
health care consumer.
