  • Code Grey
    A 45-minute review of skills needed to manage a real or potentially violent situation in the workplace. This is a required competency for those employees assigned to the Code Grey Team or working in a high-risk area.

  • Code Blue: What Do You Do?
    An hour-long review of the contents of the crash cart, documentation of code events and role definition in the event of a cardiac arrest situation at Newport Hospital.

  • Newport Hospital's "Tools School"
    The purpose of this workshop is to provide health care workers with a common logical framework to be applied to continual improvement efforts. Using FOCUS PDCA (a systematic method for process improvement) learn to identify, describe and apply the basic quality improvement tools to improve work processes.

  • Imagine the Possibilities
    A workshop for staff to explore the wide range of services that can be performed by volunteers. Tips on creating interesting volunteer positions to enhance and extend the work of paid staff. From a one-time project to a full-time internship position, learn how to tap into the resources available through volunteers.
