Working on Turner 4, Newport Hospital’s medical telemetry unit, is as rewarding as it is challenging. Our patient population varies from surgical to cardiac, and requires telemetry monitoring. This allows us to exercise our clinical skills and critical thinking in a variety of situations. We are never bored!
The team of professionals is remarkable. The nurses, nursing assistants and unit secretaries all play a vital role in keeping the unit structured and flowing. Whether it is a particularly busy shift or a patient does poorly and a crisis arises, we all work together to see the situation through, swiftly and competently.
