From north of Aquidneck Island
Take Route 24 South (accessible from I-93 from Boston and I-195
from New Bedford) to Route 114. Route 114 is a four-lane road
called West Main Road through the towns of Portsmouth and Middletown
and becomes a two-lane road called Broadway when you enter Newport. Once on Broadway, Newport Hospital is approximately a half-mile
on the left. Powel Avenue is a cross street just after the traffic
light. Turn left onto Powel Avenue and right into the Newport Hospital
parking lot. The main entrance to the hospital is across the street
from the parking lot.
From south of Aquidneck Island
Follow I-95 North to exit 3A. Bear right at the end of the ramp onto Route 138 East. At the intersection of Route 1 (about two miles after the University
of Rhode Island), take a left onto Route 1 North. Take the Jamestown/Newport Bridge exit on the right. The Jamestown
Bridge leads to the Newport Bridge, which is a $2 toll. Take the second (the last) exit and follow the ramp around to
the left. At the light, go left about a half-mile. At the second light, go right onto Broadway. Once on Broadway, Newport Hospital is approximately a half-mile
on the left. Powel Avenue is a cross street just after the traffic
light. Turn left onto Powel Avenue and right into the Newport Hospital
parking lot. The main entrance to the hospital is across the street
from the parking lot.
Directions to ambulatory surgery
From the parking lot on Powel Avenue, cross the street and use
the main hospital entrance. Go to the right, through the Hill Courtyard, and continue to
the elevators. Take the elevator to the second floor and go left to the reception
desk.
