Fall Prevention Program

About Fallssenior and nurse walking

  • Falling is one of the most common causes of injury, particularly in older age groups.

  • One in every three adults between the
ages of 65 and 85, and one in two of those who are 80 and older, will experience a
    fall this year.

  • 20 to 30 percent of these falls will lead to serious injury.

  • The fear of falling causes people to restrict their daily activities. This can ultimately lead to “missing out on life” and feelings of isolation and loneliness.
