Program Helping Children Overcome Physical and Emotional Illness Celebrates Milestone
June 24, 2008

The Hasbro Children’s Partial Hospital Program (HCPHP) is New England’s only pediatric/psychiatric day-treatment program. Over the past 10 years, the HCPHP has treated more than 1,000 children and adolescents that have a combination of physical and emotional illness, including failure to thrive, eating disorders, non-compliance and others. The program’s tenth anniversary celebration will include an open house, speaking program, reception and refreshments.

The Partial Program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital is a pediatric/psychiatric treatment facility that has developed a family-centered, intensive, outpatient approach to the care of ill children who fail treatment received from the current medical and mental health care systems. It is a joint program of the department of pediatrics and the division of child and family psychiatry at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Staffed by a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health care providers, the HCPHP provides a safe, structured environment to evaluate and treat high-risk children on an outpatient basis.
