Lifespan Media Policy

All news media contacts, provision of information and arrangements for interviews with Lifespan or affiliates patients/clients and personnel are coordinated by the Lifespan department of marketing and communications or by designees of the department.

Lifespan and its affiliates wish to cooperate promptly and appropriately with reasonable requests from the news media. They also recognize that federal and state laws and regulations safeguard the confidentiality of many aspects of patient/client information. The policy is to comply fully with all such laws and regulations.

Lifespan also understands that many aspects of its operational and organizational activities are proprietary and confidential. Therefore, it is Lifespan and its affiliates’ policy that all news media contacts, provision of information and arrangements for interviews with Lifespan or affiliates patients/clients and personnel will be coordinated by the Lifespan department of marketing and communications or by designees of the department.

No Lifespan or affiliate employee should respond to or participate in interviews related to requests for information about Lifespan’s activities or organization or about any details of patient/client care without explicit authorization from marketing and communications, and, in the case of details about patient/client care, without written authorization from the patient, client or guardian.
