The digital imaging lab offers a variety of advanced digital technologies for image acquisition, processing and analysis.
Image acquisition modes include:
Nikon C1si confocal microscope equipped with 4 diode lasers that excite at 402, 488, 561 and 638 nm and has spectral capabilities. The confocal is suitable for live cell imaging. Time events, FRAP, FRET, deconvolutions, colocalization analysis and 3D reconstructions are also available.
Digital cameras for upright and inverted microscopes.
Epson Expression 10000XL flatbed scanner with a transparency unit.
Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 used to digitize kodachromes, film and histology slides.
Digital image processing and analysis includes:
Morphometric measurement
Densitometry and intensity measurement
Color analysis
