Have you lost 30 pounds and kept it off for at least five years? If so, you may be eligible to participate in the National Weight Control Registry's Living Lean In A Toxic Environment (LITE)Study.
LITE is the first study to counter the popular notion that nobody can maintain a healthy body weight while living in our culture of fast food restaurants, automobiles and remote controlsall of which have been labeled "toxic" to maintaining a healthy body weight. LITE is comparing individuals who have lost weight and kept it off with those who have never been overweight.
Participation is free and the benefits include information about your eating patterns, the nutrients in your diet and the amount of calories you burn each day in physical activity. You also receive monetary compensation.
For more information, please call the LITE study at the Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center at The Miriam Hospital and Brown Medical School at 1-877-371-5483 (LITE).
