Outpatient Services

Outpatient Mental Health Services are provided at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital by a multidisciplinary group of board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical nurse specialists and social workers.

With outpatient mental health services in short supply in our region, we have continued to grow to accommodate requests for service and have now surpassed 45,000 visits per year.

Outpatient Psychiatric Services at Rhode Island Hospital is located in the Bayside Medical Office Building adjacent to the Rhode Island Hospital campus.

Outpatient Psychiatric Services at The Miriam Hospital
Outpatient Psychiatric Services at The Miriam Hospital is located in the Fain Building on The Miriam Hospital campus.

Outpatient Psychiatric Services at Newport Hospital
Outpatient Psychiatric Services at Newport Hospital is located in the Borden-Carey medical office building adjacent to Newport Hospital. Three psychiatrists are on staff to offer psychiatric diagnosis, psychopharmacologic medication management, and other psychiatric interventions.
