The NIH eRA Commons is a web-based system that allows NIH extramural grantee organizations, grantees and the public to receive and transmit information electronically about the administration of biomedical and behavioral research. 

The site is organized into sections depending upon the privileges/roles granted to you. As a Principal Investigator you will be able to review the current status of all your grant applications and review detailed information associated with a grant. An ASST role has been designed to allow PIs to delegate certain responsibilities for data entry of grant information and upkeep of their personal profiles. The ASST does not have any other functions in the system.
