    A Program for Smokers with Mobility Impairments

    Are You a Smoker? And do you use a cane, wheelchair, scooter, brace, walker, etc. to help you get around?

    You may be eligible to participate in The Miriam Hospital's health and wellness research program that includes quitting smoking!

    You do not have to want to quit smoking in order to participate!

    You will receive:

    • A state of the art health research program mailed to your home
    • 8 weeks of nicotine patches at no cost if medically eligible
    • Reimbursement for your time

    Breatheasy

    The Miriam Hospital is looking for adult smokers to participate in an eight-week smoking cessation research program. Specialists in smoking cessation will work with qualified participants to help them quit smoking successfully.

    Participants will complete a group-based, eight-week quit smoking program combined with either a health and wellness program or a yoga program. You may be eligible if you are:

    • 18 years or older

    • Currently healthy

    • Not currently practicing yoga or mindfulness-based therapy

    • Not currently pregnant

    • Smoke at least five or more cigarettes per day, or more
