Anjulika Chawla, MD, is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is also the director of the fellowship program in Pediatric Hematology Oncology, a three-year program that trains pediatricians to specialize in pediatric hematology/oncology. She cares for children with all kinds of cancer, and has a particular interest in Wilms’ tumor and neuroblastoma. In addition, Chawla has extensive expertise in reducing pain and other acute side effects of cancer and its therapy, and in palliative and end of life care. She is the director of the sickle cell/thalassemia program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and founded the transition program for children with sickle cell disease (HOTTRAC program) with colleagues in the adult hematology program.
