Thomas Ng, MD, is a thoracic surgeon at Rhode Island Hospital and the VA Medical Center and is an associate professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Ng received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and his medical degree from Queen’s University School of Medicine in Kingston, Canada. He completed his residency in general surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in thoracic surgery at the University of Ottawa.

His areas of clinical expertise include lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal tumors, chest wall tumors, tracheal surgery for tumors or benign strictures, complex gastroesophageal reflux surgery, esophageal motility disorders and minimally invasive thoracic surgery/video-assisted thoracic surgery.
