Kimberly Perez, MD, is an assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is currently staffed as a medical hematologist oncologist in the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital where she specializes in gastrointestinal cancers and hemophilia. Perez is currently the coordinating physician for the Comprehensive Hemophilia Clinic, a clinic designed to treat hemophilia patients using a team approach.
Perez is an active participant in translational research, with her primary focus in colorectal cancer. She is also active in clinical research. As a member of the Brown University Oncology Group, she is the site’s principal investigator for an international pharmaceutical study, as well as a co-investigator for an investigator initiated study in rectal cancer, which is currently the pilot study for a planned national cooperative group study.
Perez received her bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University. She studied in the West Indies at George’s University School of Medicine and completed her doctorate at George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. Perez completed her residency and fellowship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
