Sibel A. Algon, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist and chief of adolescent inpatient services at Bradley Hospital.

Prior to her current position at Bradley, Dr. Algon served as an attending physician there and at Rhode Island Hospital. An award-winning educator, she is an assistant clinical professor with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and previously taught at the University of Vermont and University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Algon began her medical career working with underserved patients of the child/adolescent inpatient unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center, later becoming a director of child and adolescent psychiatry services at Community Health and Counseling Services of Maine. Dr. Algon gained experience with the child and adolescent unit at Acadia Hospital in Maine, where she was appointed president of its medical staff.

Dr. Algon earned a medical degree from UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (Rutgers University). She completed her residency and fellowship, both in child and adolescent psychiatry, at the Hospital of the University Pennsylvania. 

An active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Algon serves on both its lifelong learning and continuing medical education committees.
