    Jeffrey Hunt, MD is a pediatric psychiatrist at Bradley Hospital and was director of the hospital's Adolescent Program from 2000 to 2007. At The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, he is an associate professor of psychiatry and human behavior and director of training in both the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and the Combined Program in Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. His areas of interest include pediatric and adolescent bipolar disorder, psychopathology and training and education.

    Hunt attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin after graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Carroll College of Montana and earning a master's of science in Biology from Montana State University. He completed general and child and adolescent psychiatry residency training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute.

    Research Interests

    Hunt has been co-investigator on several research studies, including the NIMH funded Course and Outcome of Bipolar Youth study, and several other projects involving adolescents with severe mood disorders in hospitalized adolescents.

    Honors

    Hunt has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Harvard Macy Program for Physician Educators Teacher Scholar Award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2005). Hunt has also been honored with several awards from Alpert Medical School, including the Outstanding Teaching Award in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (2005-2006); the Special Recognition in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Award (2003); and the Excellence in Teaching Award for Clinical Faculty (2003).
