Maureen
Chung, MD, PhD
Maureen Chung, MD, PhD, is a surgical oncologist at Rhode Island
Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown University,
Providence, RI. Her current research involves the design of novel
vaccines against breast and pancreatic cancer and the function of
MUC1, a tumor associated antigen.
Chung is also an associate editor of the American Journal of
Clinical Oncology, an external grant reviewer for the Arkansas
Breast Cancer Research Program and a contributing editor for Women's
Oncology Review.
Chung is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where
she earned her medical degree and a master's degree in science (experimental
surgery). In addition, Chung earned a PhD in pathobiology from Brown
University, completed a residency in general surgery at McGill University
and received a surgical oncology fellowship at Brown Medical School.
