Congenital Heart Surgery
The first group of children to have surgery at an early age for heart defects is now returning for surgical treatment of residual defects or sequelae from the previous repair. These defects include leaky valves, narrowing of the valve, replacement of the aorta and reconstruction of the chamber of the heart.
Rhode Island Hospital’s team of pediatric and adult congenital cardiologists and experienced surgeons are specially trained to provide these services.
