Research Programs
There are extensive opportunities for participation in both basic
and clinical research programs in the division of endocrinology
and the Hallett Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology. The following
represents a brief summary of active research programs listed by

- Geetha Gopalakrishnan, MD
Clinical research studies on: (1) osteoporosis (bone and mineral),
(2) endocrine disturbances associated with long-term HIV infection,
(3) international health.

Co-investigator in the BARI-2D National Institutes of Health clinical
research study of cardiovascular outcomes in diabetes. Principal
investigator in clinical research study of inhaled insulin in
