Nuclear Medicine Program
Nuclear medicine combines physics, mathematics, computer technology and medicine with radiopharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat disease.
The nuclear medicine program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology. The program consists of 15 months of clinical and classroom instruction.
Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a certificate from the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and are then eligible to take the national certification examinations offered by two American Medical Association approved organizations: the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board.
