Computed Tomography Program
Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, each applicant must:
- Have successfully passed or will have completed
the radiography (ARRT) exam by the start of
the program.
- Meet the health requirements necessary to function
as a CT technologist and provide
documentation of required immunizations.
- Provide a one-page essay describing why he or
she is interested in CT.
- Provide two professional references and a transcript of grades.
- Participate in an eight-hour session of observation
in the CT setting.
Selected applicants must:
- Be currently certified in CPR.
Admission decisions are based on a thorough
review of scholastic records, recommendation
letters and a personal interview.
Students
will be selected based on predictors of the
student’s ability to successfully complete the
program and become outstanding technologists
in the CT field, without regard to age, race,
color, gender identification, religion, sexual
orientation or natural origin.
The admissions
committee will review all application materials
and make final acceptance recommendations to
the program director. Applications and required materials must be received by April 1 for the class beginning in September.
