Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program
About the Program
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program is a ten-month program of both didactic and clinical education.The program starts in September and graduates in June. Students must be able to attend the program eight hours a day and must be flexible, working both day and evening hours.
The weekly schedule runs from Monday through Thursday, with exceptions made by the MRI clinical coordinator*. The ten months are broken up in the following manner:
The month of September is a full didactic and clinical introduction.
Semester One:
October to January
- Clinical rotation, 3 8-hour days in either hospital or outpatient setting.
- One full day of classroom instruction
Semester Two:
February to May
- Clinical rotation, 3 8-hour days in either hospital or outpatient setting.
- One full day of classroom instruction
The month of June is a full month of registry review and completion of clinical competencies for the ARRT Registry Review.
School Scheduled Hours:
Monday to Thursday
Day hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Evening hours: 2 to 10 p.m.
* Based on availability within the school and MRI department at Clinical sites, the MRI Clinical Coordinator might make changes to both the Didactic and Clinical schedules. Selected students will have to be flexible from Monday-Thursday; reasonable notice will always be given.
