The Trauma Team
Our trauma team is composed of personnel from the departments of
surgery, emergency medicine, nursing, critical care, rehabilitation, and
surgical subspecialties as well as pre-hospital care providers.
The Rhode Island Hospital trauma service is led by Walter Biffl,
MD, chief of the division of trauma and critical care services.
The trauma coordinator is Jayne Starring, RN.
