crash and is designed to convince people to buckle up.

Community Outreach
In the late 1990’s, the IPC’s community efforts were jump-started when they received one of four US Department of Transportation “Safe Communities” grants. Since that time the IPC has maintained an active community coalition consisting of representatives from the hospital, state and local agencies, community organizations and businesses. Through this coalition, the IPC has developed and maintained a strong presence in the community as a partner and resource for health advocacy and action.
In 2002, the IPC was designated an Injury Free Coalition for Kids (IFCK) site by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation allowing the center to join a coalition of 40 other hospital-based, community-oriented groups nationwide dedicated to preventing childhood injuries through research, outreach and advocacy. Designation as an IFCK site has enabled the center to continue its efforts to reduce injuries, expanding those efforts from traffic safety to include a range of other childhood injuries.
Community Outreach
The Injury Prevention Center frequently provides safety information to the Enterprise Community through outreach work at schools, libraries, community centers and other local agencies. If you are interested in having the IPC participate in an upcoming event please call 401-444-2685.
