Obesity Grant
Funded by the Department of Health, our obesity grant is allowing
the Injury Prevention Center to conduct a comprehensive examination
of safe play areas for children in Providence.
This examination consists of playground evaluations, focus groups
with parents of young children, and surveys about childhood television
viewing. We intend to use these evaluations to increase the number
of safe play places available to Providence children.
