Allergy or Cold?
Sometimes it may be difficult to tell them apart. Both can cause a
stuffy, runny nose, sinus headache, sneezing and coughing. What's the
difference?
Allergy symptoms usually:
- Last longer than two weeks
- Occur at about the same time each year
- Get better or worse depending on the immediate environment or
circumstances
- Include itchy, sticky, red eyes
- Include an itchy nose and dry throat
A good rule of thumb is to tell your doctor about symptoms that last
longer than two weeks. He or she can recommend an allergy specialist if
necessary.
