Barbara Tylenda, PhD, is a chief psychologist in Bradley Hospital's Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in 1979 with a degree in psychology and fine arts, she continued her studies in Zurich, Switzerland, at the C.G. Jung-Institut. Tylenda earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University in 1985. She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship through Brown Medical School's clinical psychology training consortium with a specialty in developmental disabilities.
Prior to returning to Brown in 1997, Tylenda served on the faculties of Auburn University, Newington Children's Hospital/UConn and Assumption College. Tylenda is a clinical assistant professor and a coordinator of postdoctoral training at Brown Medical School.
