Description
This project is designed to improve medication use in children with asthma. Our previous research has shown that children with asthma take approximately half of their regularly prescribed asthma medications. This project compares the efficacy of two interventions, standard group-based asthma education alone, and education with the addition of problem solving and goal-setting to improve the frequency of medication use in children.

Significance
This research has the potential to increase appropriate medication use, and as a result decrease asthma symptoms and health care utilization for children with asthma.
