Carotid Revascularization Endarterectomy Vs. Stenting Trial (CREST)
This National Insitutes of Health sponsored study seeks to find out which of the treatments, surgical endarterectomy or carotid stenting gives a better outcome in patients who are symptomatic due to carotid artery narrowing.
Patients will be followed for the development of stroke, myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular complications.
