Teaching Children to Save Lives:
Emergency Cardiovacular Care Program for Kids

Lifespan Community Health Services is offering a free, 45-minute class on emergency cardiac care for school children, Teaching Children to Save Lives. Kids participating in the program will:

  • Listen to an actual 911 call
  • Practice CPR on a mannequin
  • Use an automated external defibrillator (AED) training model

The program will also cover:

  • The basics of CPR
  • What is an AED and how to use it
  • What to do when someone is choking
  • The signs of a heart attack and stroke
  • When to call 911

Lifespan Community Health Services also offers the HiTECH Heart Program, which expands on the concepts in the Teaching Children to Save Lives program.
