Beginning January 2015, our diagnostic medical sonography program will be a BS degree program through Rhode Island College. Please contact Rhode Island College for more information. Application deadline is August 1, 2014.
The program consists of two sections:
All clinical practice sessions take place at Rhode Island Hospital, and its Hasbro Children's Hospital, Women & Infants' Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. Students will be working in the hospital with physicians, radiology professionals and other members of the healthcare team. Students will participate in innovative procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, intraoperative procedures and the latest medical research projects.
Students who complete the program are awarded a certificate of graduation and are eligible to take the certifying examination offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
