What to expect during your visit
What happens when I am done?
If the physician advises admission to the hospital, he or she will
discuss this with you and make the necessary arrangements.
If you are to be discharged, a physician or nurse will go over
written instructions with you regarding any medications prescribed
and how to care for yourself at home. You will be given a referral
either to your own primary care physician or another doctor for
follow-up care.
Do not hesitate to ask questions if the instructions are not clear.
Our doctors and nurses are here to help you!
If you need additional assistance, please let us know. Our
staff is available to help you make arrangements for other healthcare
services such as home health care, hospice care or rehabilitation
services.
Should your condition worsen after you leave, please return
to the emergency department. If you have any questions or concerns,
please call the department.
