lally
Edward V. Lally, MD, director, division of rheumatology, professor of medicine, graduated from Brown University and received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at the Boston City Hospital and was a rheumatology fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Lally has authored or co-authored over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as numerous book chapters and review articles. He is nationally known for his research and publications on scleroderma and related disorders. He lectures frequently on connective tissue disorders and is actively involved in the fellowship in both the outpatient and consultation services. His free time is spent raising five children and coaching youth sports in Barrington, Rhode Island.
schwartz Stuart T. Schwartz, MD is a graduate of Duke University and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Rutgers Medical School. He completed his medical training at Rhode Island Hospital and rheumatology fellowship in the Roger Williams Medical Center Program. In addition to his busy practice at Rhode Island Hospital, he is an active teacher at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University as well as the medical resident at Rhode Island Hospital, and is a key member of the rheumatology faculty. He has published and lectured on osteoarthritis, crystal diseases, and vasculitis among other topics. Schwartz enjoys water sports with his two children and competes in local triathlons.

Kerri Batra, MD attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She recently completed a Fellowship in Rheumatology at Brigham & Woman’s Hospital where she was awarded the Distinguished Excellence in Teaching Fellows Award. She holds board certification in rheumatology and internal medicine. Batra also completed the Clinical Effectiveness Program at Harvard School of Public Health.

Bernard Zimmermann, MD, rheumatology fellowship program director, Roger Williams Medical Center, graduated from Harvard College and West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed his medical and rheumatology training at the Roger Williams Medical Center. Since then he has been an active member of the faculty. He has published articles on various topics including septic arthritis, spondyloarthropathy and gout, and lectures frequently on many rheumatologic topics. He lives in Rhode Island with his family, enjoys sailing, windsurfing and playing basketball weekly with residents and fellows.

Nuha Said, MD graduated from the University of Jordan Medical School in 1995. She completed an internal medicine residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island and a rheumatology fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center. Prior to joining the academic faculty at Roger Williams, she was a staff rheumatologist at the Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts. She has particular interest in rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory myopathies, and truly enjoys clinical teaching. Her recreational activities include gardening, reading and spending time with her son.

Harald Alexander Hall, MD is a graduate of Cornell University and the Chicago Medical School. He completed his medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center in 2005 and then joined the academic rheumatology faculty. His recent research interests have included novel therapies for the treatment of inflammatory myositis. Dr. Hall attends at the Roger Williams and VA sites. He enjoys windsurfing, skiing and playing with his three young children.
