Diversity Leadership Council

The mission of the Diversity Leadership Council is to provide leadership to Lifespan that fosters an environment where diversity, in all its forms, is fully embraced. This ensures Lifespan's ability to create and sustain an exemplary level of awareness, understanding and respect for diversity.

Strategic Plan for Diversity:

  • Knowledge: to promote broad based knowledge about the importance of diversity throughout the organization through education and action

  • Best Practices: to evaluate best practices that embrace and promote diversity in other organizations and apply them to ours in an effort to accelerate our performance

  • Culture: to foster a culture that embraces and promotes diversity within our organization

  • Communication: to consider diversity in all its forms in all communications, decisions, and interactions

  • Workforce Development: to develop a workforce, which is consistent with the corporate diversity objectives in composition and attitude

  • Measure: to measure and report performance related to diversity objectives
