In June of 2014 The Injury Prevention Center partenered with
East Bay Community Action Program to hold a car seat distribution event. Close to 50 car seats were distributed to
families in need at this event.
The Injury Prevention Center, along with volunteers from
Providence College, the city of Providence and Mayor Angel Taveras, participated
in an Earth Day renovation and clean up of Lennon Park in Providence. April 20, 2013.
In May of 2014 the Injury Prevention Center held a Child
Passenger Safety Technician Certification course in which eighteen new CPSTs
The IPC was awarded a $750 grant from Toys R Us to purchase stairway gates for the early intervention program of the Children's Neurodevelopment Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital. On Friday, November 18, 2011 the Rhode Island State Junior Grange once again presented a check to the Injury Prevention Center. This year's very generous donation of over $800 will be used to purchase bicycle helmets that the Injury Prevention Center will give to children at upcoming safety events.

On August 10, 2011 the Injury Prevention Center along with Safe Kids Rhode Island held a car seat safety/distribution event at the Blackstone Valley Community Health Center. Forty-nine car seats were distributed and additional eleven car seat installations were checked at this very successful event.
