Nephrology Research
- New Treatment Methods for
Hypertension/Chronic Renal Disease
Studies
are underway that exam the safety and efficacy of newer antihypertensive
agents, especially novel angiotensin II receptor antagonists on
blood pressure and cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients
with essential hypertension.
We are also participating in a large multicenter clinical trial
comparing the effects of an angiotensin II receptor antagonist and
a beta blocker on progression of renal disease in patients with
type II diabetes and nephropathy.
