Susan Korber, RN, MS, OCN, NE-BC is the director of ambulatory /cancer services and reports to the senior vice president for patient care services at The Miriam Hospital. She obtained her BSN from Boston University in 1971 and earned a master's degree in health service administration in 1992 from Salve Regina University. Her experience spans 21 years, most of which has been in hematology/oncology nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Nurses Association.
Korber is also active in the Rhode Island State Nurses Association and the American Society of Pain Management. Her community and volunteer work includes participation on the RI Attorney General Task Force on End-of-Life Care; the RI House of Representatives Commission on Staffing in Acute Care Hospitals Board and the Speaker's Bureau for the RI Cancer Pain Initiative.
